all about the 3938 Technical Net
The 3938 Technical Net is called up on 3.938 mhz (3938.00 khz) each Thursday at 8:00 PM local time.
The Technical Net is intended to help check-ins with Ham Radio related questions, although other topics may be addressed that relate to Ham Radio: These could range from questions on house wiring and current limits, safety issues with antennas, tubes, part suppliers, antenna considerations, and to any related discussions that can be applied to Ham Radio.
Also, we are offering a handsome multi-color certificate to those who check into the net a minimum of 10 times.
All advice on this net is given in the spirit of helping other Ham Radio operators with possible avenues to find resolution to technical problems. Neither the net controllers nor the check-ins offering advice are to be held responsible for any misunderstandings by anyone seeking help.
This is a very informal net and any information provided should be judged only by the check-in as worthy or not for his application.
It is also assumed that all Ham Radio operators are very familiar with safety precautions to be used when dealing with High Voltages and High Current applications that may be encountered with household voltages, amplifiers, and power supplies.
An excellent source of this information is provided in the ARRL handbook and on many other online resources. If you are not sure about or not familiar with these safety procedures, you are advised to seek out someone who is experienced and reliable, prior to your attempt to resolve related problems on your own.
Always remember that high voltages and high current levels can be lethal.
